Hey its Monday at 2:22 and we are leaving around 3:30 ish to go down to the valley. its gonna be really hot down there so im gonna be goin through allot of water lol we are staying in Ted and Kims guest house (they are missionaries and they have a really cool set up. they do evangelism but Ted has an agriculture and aquiculture thing that he does to teach them how they can do all that stuff on their on own and be self sufficient. it sounds really cool I cant wait to see his set up!! :)) but any way, this week is when well see the scorpions, and maybe some of the Mosai tribe:) I have been writing in my journal everyday, although its been hard during camp so sometimes I just write the bigger things that happen then at home I write everything that we do and what we eat for meals and all that! itll be cool I think. weren’t those directions great!! I thought the same thing...I thought directions back home were funny, but nothin beats African directions lol I did have a dream not to long after i got here that I went home every weekend then came back lol ...that would be expensive lol thats cool that you saw Kelly! I miss all those guys... if you see her again tell her I said hey! ..please! Im pretty sure itll only be an hour or two to Kapenta and I do believe that we will go over the mountains but
I'M HOME!!! =)
"Habari" (how are you?) everyone I'm home... you can still post your comments. I will be uploading pics for a while, so there will be lots of new stuff to look at soon... until then "kwa heri" (goodbye)
Camp Staff...can you find Jessie?
This years theme is "God has a plan for me" (Mungu Ana Kusudi Nami)
All the campers had their pictures taken with Jess & Stephanie while they were wearing Joseph's robe of many colors
We had a great week at camp in Ilambila, after our adventures home we got some much needed rest. We went back into Sumbawanga for more supplies and then it was off Monday afternoon for the 1 1/2 hr trip to the village of Kazila to get set up for this weeks camp.
We traveled from Brooks (just outside of Sumbawanga) to the village of Ilambila, where we will spend the week then its back to Brooks for the weekend to prepare for next weeks camp.
After a good nights sleep in Dar Es Salaam we were up at 5:00am to catch the 6:00am bus heading for Mbeya. The bus ride was about 13 hrs long across the Tanzanian country side (as you can see on the map). We were able to meet up with Brook once we got to Mbeya. We will be spending the night here (5-31) and leaving first thing in the morning for Mumba a 4-5 hr car ride to where Brook lives...about an hour out side of Sumbawanga.

Ok...I think I may have figured this "sending you comments" thing. For the longest time I have been trying to send you comments but for some reason it wasn't lettin me. But now I am sending it two or three times and it says one of em is going through. Im sure david will delete em if you get more than one. =) You gotta bring me back some of the money from over there if you can. I think that is cool...or a rock or something. I think it would be cool to have a real African rock that you picked up. (make sure there are no scorpions under it!!!) lol. I love reading your web page, it makes me feel like your a little closer. We pray for you every night!
Ok...another little update. Neashall is 1.5 cm dialated and 75% effaced. In other words she could deliver today or three or four weeks from now. Im trying to talk the baby into waiting for you but no promises.
And as far as the torchin the siding on the house, I blame Neashall so dont "city folk" me. =) Nevermind...I'm retarded and I know it...runs in the family. =)
Love you!!!
Josh =)
Hi Jess,
Just read your web page. Love reading about your experiences. I downloaded your web page onto our laptop and took it home so Grandpa could read it. We're counting the days till you get home. We love you and miss you soooooo much. I'm sorry you didn't get to see a scorpion, not. Hope you have fun on your safari and get to see lots of wild animals. You are amazing Jessica. You should write a book about your experiences. We can't wait till you get home to tell us all about them. Love you and may God be with you this week and on the journey home to all of us.
Grandma & Grandpa B.
